My career spans 36 years in HMRC. I joined the Fraud investigation Service (FIS) as a case worker over 8 years ago and moved to the learning team within Professionalism 2 years ago as I am passionate Fraud Investigators should be formally recognised for their knowledge and skills in the counter fraud community. As part of the central learning team I collaborated with internal and external stakeholders across government to develop the Counter Fraud Investigator Apprenticeship (CFIA). I am now involved with setting up the infrastructure to embed the new apprenticeship in HMRC.
I lead the Government Counter Fraud Profession (GCFP) cross-directorate working group in FIS to promote, educate and inform over 3000 GCFP members about the profession.
