With over 30 years’ experience in both the public and private sectors, Michael specialises in risk (fraud), governance, ethics and compliance. Prior to joining Buckinghamshire Council, Michael was the Forensics and Investigations Manager of a leading international audit, tax and advisory firm. Over the course of his career, Michael has worked directly and indirectly with many of the UK’s busiest and most complex local authorities. He has also served 10 years with the police where his role included work on bribery and corruption, and anti-money laundering. In his current role, Michael has worked on the transition of the former Buckinghamshire County Council into a unitary authority. In addition to his work with Buckinghamshire Council, Michael is currently studying for a MSc in Risk and Security at Portsmouth University.
