Fraud Manager - Durham County Council

Steven Graham is the Fraud Manager at Durham County Council. Steven leads the Corporate Fraud Team and has responsibility for the counter fraud work including fraud policies, assessing fraud risks and embedding the counter fraud strategy across the organisation. Steven has set up, and chairs, the North East Regional Investigation Officers Group and is joint chair of the North East Tenancy Fraud Forum. He is a member of the Fighting Fraud & Corruption Locally Operational Group and the National Investigation Officers Group. He has developed several initiatives to transform the way Durham deals with fraud, including the Durham Partnerships. Steven has worked in the fraud environment for over 25 years and is passionate about his role, always looking for new initiatives and partnerships and is an advocate of sharing best practice. Steven has helped Durham County Council be an award-winning authority and a leading authority for counter fraud in the region and assisting the counter fraud agenda nationally.
